Page turner

I want to know how it ends even before I have read the first paragraph. But I am not allowed to turn to the last page. After all I have to get to know all the characters and how they relate before I can get (to) the end.

So I purse through the pages, in anticipation....in expectation..of the wonderful..of the horror ..
of the tragic.. of the unexpected...

There are days when I am disappointed..there are days when its all and more than what I expected.

On the beautiful bright days, I want to read it all again. This time very patiently, reading every line..every description and when I get to the end..its a whole new story!

....
and I am thinking that only if you could life in a similar fashion....
i mean going at your own speed, pausing and going back a fews pages to paras you enjoyed the most while reading....and not rushing to know the ending but taking time to know all the characters......

I have had the enthu to reread very few books... I can rewatch a movie but I can not get myself to reread a book no matter how much I liked it while reading it the first and only time... I have started rereading books now but it is very difficult to reread a book when one knows the ending..

@kp: I was meaning it to be sort of analogous to relationships :)
But of course real life doesnt have endings.

@bal : I can reread some books, mostly the ones in which the end is no real surprise. Its only then can I truely appreciate how well they write.
